The metal fiber infrared burner is a premixed gas surface combustion device made of heat-resistant alloy steel as burning materials,such as Fecralloy metal fiber. It adopts fully premixed micro flame combustion technology and can switch between low power infrared radiation and high power blue flame convection modes. It is suitable for gas/natural gas fuels and has a wide range of gas media, including biogas.

A two-dimensional physical and mathematical model of a fully premixed metal fiber gas burner for biogas has been established, and the combustion conditions of various working conditions have been simulated in Fluent. This indicates that the application of biogas in metal fiber burners is also being explored in practical research. The research results show that within the range of excess air coefficient of 1-1.25, the pre mixed combustion of biogas has lower CO and NO emissions; Although the combustion rate decreases and flame stability decreases with the increase of CO ₂ content in biogas, it is still combustible when the CO ₂ content in biogas approaches 50%.
